Positives:
Convenient location. Nice being closer to the canal. Although the road along the canal can be noisy--it does not seem to be as bad as the main road along the beach.
Negatives:
OK - I know that the name of the hotel is Coconut Waikiki, but I have a strong aversion to coconut taste and smell. The amenities are all coconut scented. Because we have stayed at the Coconut before, I knew to bring my own soap, shampoo etc. It would be nice if they had a stash of alternatives but in real life, I know that is not something that I would expect--just wishful hoping as I know we will be returning to the Coconut in the future.

Positives:
Room worked fine, but basic; clean, most amenities needed, all working. Beds decent; pillows nice. Staff pleasant, helpful. Lobby nice.
Negatives:
Room was small-ish for two twin beds; bathroom also tight, but ok. Shower head was a handheld that was hard to make the right direction; water not always hot. Room was old, painted over renovations. It's fine for budget, it didn't bug me; but the price should be a bit less; maybe some rooms are better.

Since I was visiting relatives, they accommodated me by allowing valet parking for our grandchildren so we could use the pool. It's a small pool with really warm temperature, perfect for babies and toddlers!

A lovely comfortable and safe...
Positives:
Lobby had plenty of comfortable seating with filtered water, tea and coffee and fresh popcorn in the afternoon. We were offered shower and toilet facilities to freshen up as we arrived really early. The upgrade to the larger room was great with a 2nd bathroom-! Location was fantastic. Great value for money. Staff were very nice
Negatives:
Microwave was very dirty inside. But understand that it might not be checked after each guest. No washing up liquid or cloth to wash dishes etc.
