Great location, short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. My room on the sixth floor was quiet. Didn't hear any street noise or from other rooms. Room was clean, comfortable, staff very friendly. They also have a water filling station on the Lobby level (ground floor) and laundry on the second floor.
Negatives:
I was told towards the end of my stay from friends, I could have got a bottle of water at check in. The hotel laundry only has 3 washers and 3 dryers. It's a pain having to wait for someone to return when their laundry is in the washer or dryer.

Location is good since it is closed to everything around there!
Negatives:
We experienced 3 straight nights in the row with some weird rolling noise or dropping things on the above unit throughout the days and nights. The last thing we really needed after a whole day touring around the island was dealing with the noise. I couldn’t taken it anymore so I brought it to the front desk and manager’s attentions. She finally stopped by the room and couldn’t explained what the noises were nor where it came from! They couldn’t switched us to a different room so we could rest but offered the resort taxes which about $45/day for 2 days. If we spent $1300 for 3 nights; the last thing we needed is the $90 discount for the disturbance and lack of sleep!

Excellent location in downtown Waikiki for a very affordable rate. The hotel is directly across the street from the large open air international mall. We also loved the Mediterranean restaurant in the hotel. It was exceptional!
Negatives:
The room needed more storage space for clothes and better sound proofing. We ended up on the fourth floor directly above the swimming pool. This hotel has lots of school groups come through because of the price. The pool area was very loud until late at night both evenings with teenagers. We could also hear kids running through the halls.
