Positives:
Location was excellent, walking distance from where we were suppose to attend plus the awesome Michigan Avenue. Area around the hotel seems safe. Also great was that the riverwalk to do my daily runs is just across the hotel.
I also enjoyed the free brewed coffee though wish they wouldn't close it between 2400H to 0500H.
Negatives:
Room was a bit small for the price point. You will have to place your luggage on the floor.
There's only 2 elevator serving floors 10 and up.

Positives:
Ronnie is the best, he makes us feel welcome and comfortable every time we stay!
We return to this hotel because of Ronnie, Tony, other inside staff, and the valet staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Our dogs are always welcome too!
Negatives:
No refrigerator is a bummer.

Positives:
Location!!! Great location. Within walking distance of a lot of great places to eat and shops. Plus just off of the river.
Negatives:
The elevator was down the morning after check in. I was on the 21st floor so we had to wait a while if we needed to come or go.

Solid bang for your buck....
Positives:
I stayed alone as a woman at a conference, and I was able to spend several days safely without any issues. The location was convenient for transportation as it was within walking distance to Millennium Park.

The room was not properly cleaned, the TV volume was intermittent, the bathroom sink barely drained, there is always coffee in rooms but no tea! What about the Tea drinkers??

Positives:
There is no doubt that the biggest advantage of the hotel is its location. The best location in Chicago - right on Michigan Avenue and the Riverwalk.
Another advantage is the parking, which is relatively cheap compared to other hotels - 30USD per day, in a parking lot that is about a five-minute walk from the hotel.
Negatives:
They are misleading in the pictures.
We paid extra for a "superior queen" room but we were provided with a different room, which according to the pictures in booking.com is a "standard queen" room.
When we told them that we got a smaller room than the one we paid for, they tried to convince us that we got the right room - but it's an attempt to deceive, because from the pictures on booking.com it's clear that they provided us with the cheaper room even though we paid an extra charge for the upgrade.
Although later they agreed that we would move to the right and bigger room, we preffered not to waste our time on packing and unpacking again, so we decided to stay in the smaller room.
For the additional payment between the superior room we paid for and the standard room we actually received - they never bothered to refund us.

Good hotel but unfairly misleading

Superb
Positives:
It was downtown, across from the river
Negatives:
The rooms were old and worn down, our a/c was broken so it was broiling hot. The front desk didn't care and made a halfhearted attempt to have it fixed, but ended up just giving us a fan. Since they couldn't fix the a/c and wouldn't rebook us in a different room, we just left and found a better, functional hotel so we could get a good night's sleep.
