Negatives:
Check-in was very lengthy as the facility prohibited any and all early check-ins and blamed it on a software glitch which extremely coincidentally automatically fixed itself at 4:00 on the dot when check-in was scheduled. A lobby wrap-around line had to form for the well-known and expected convention being held in Chicago with this hotel as a named host of attendees. Ill-prepared and intentionally belligerent to staggering check-in.

Breakfast good but very crowded and not peaceful. Location not bad but had to use uber every day. View of city from room nice.

3 guests checked in but every day had to ask for a 3rd washcloth and hand towel. Needed a more through cleaning...behind and under. Folding mattress on 1 of pull out beds was filthy, off colored, and covered in mold on bottom. Reported and asked for cleaning or replacement. Was wrapped when we returned to room later in day. Afraid to check other mattresses as too disgusting. Flooring under bed haden't been cleaned in long time...paper, old gum, hair, etc. I would expect Hilton would have deep cleaning and replacement policies to maintain a certain standard.

It was nice, clean, and a beautiful facility.

The staff was terrible. Took 2 hours to check in with no one else in line. Has to be escorted to the room because we couldn't get our keys. Took them 20-30 min for the ine person to show up to let us in our room. We were literally locked out of our room from 4pm check in until 10am the next day. For the price we paid, we should have been comptd our room.

Two trips to Chicago. Stayed...
Positives:
The property was very central to do activities and sight seeing and great location to enjoy local restaurants and bars.
Negatives:
1) The staff at reception were unfriendly and grumpy and not clear with instructions. Highly recommend replacing them with someone who greets their customers.
2) This hotel is a budget and no way carries the Hilton class. Basic things like wifi ammenities etc are hard to avail without having honors memberships
3) Breakfast choices were average somewhat cheap options. They don’t refill tacos or anything within the timeslot allocated. I saw the staff handing out bags of tacos to some customers secretly which was so unprofessional.
4) The staff didn’t have a smile or any sort of greeting towards a customer . One of them just looks at your face with no response .
5) There are no cups or plates in the room but cheap plastic cups. If you asked for housekeeping to provide you one . They will charge you $5 for this service . Greedy ! Or cheap!
6) some fittings like towel hangers were loose or coming out of the wall.
7) The cleaning staff kept the room tidy everyday . The only highlight
8) Pool area was dirty and slippery and wet. Not sure if the water filtration system works either .
9) Ironing board cloth needs to be washed and changed . It smelt like someone’s dirty clothes or sweat or un dried foul smelling clothes
