After booking on booking.com and having all taxes and fees included I was then surprised to find a charge for “Urban Experience fee”. I’ve never heard of such a thing — what the heck is an urban experience fee! I didn’t ask for any such experience, other than the fact that the hotel is in an urban area. Next up will be rural experience fee or river experience fee or air experience fee??

The location next to the Millenium Park, Riverwalk, and Magnificent Mile was fantastic.
Negatives:
There was a water leak -- the carpet was wet by the bathroom door -- so I had to wear shoes at all times.
Initially, there were no caffeinated coffee pods in the hotel -- I walked to Bloomingdales to by my own at the Nespresso store.
I had to call housekeeping for coffee cups one day, then for coffee cups and other glassware the next day and they couldn't figure out what I needed. It seems like when a room is made up, there should be a checklist of all the items to stock.
Paying approx. $20 each for the minibar "M&M's", cashews, and Jim Beam is outrageous!
I know for an extra $120 per night I could have stayed on the Gold Floor, but this was already over $400 per night.

We had a party of 6 for breakfast the first morning and I left a 20 percent tip not realizing that a 19% tip was included in the bill. My fault i suppose but the included tip could have been more apparent.
