We took my 11 yr old son for a surprise trip and it was amazing!!!!!!
Positives:
Hotel is in a perfect spot for access to everything downtown.
Negatives:
Staff - sorry but they SUCK !!! Front desk guy was less then helpful with check in process and having to get a valet . The cart we used to our belongings upstairs had a flat tire. It was me and my two kids 9 and 12. On our second day I asked the front desk if our room would be cleaned she said yes, trash emptied, we were also out of shampoo and body wash and needed another towel for my wife who was flying in that night. We came back to our room nothing had been touched just another set of towels. No soap, trash full to the brim anyway it was disappointing. On check out we asked the front desk lady for a receipt, she printed one but never really acknowledged us when I asked if I needed to sign or do anything, nothing at all was said-bye or anything. Valet guy had to go plug in his cell phone before he could go retrieve our car. Customer first ?? Not really.

Positives:
Nice location, parking was very easy, breakfast was great and was able to check in earlier which was great considering we had an event to go to. Staff was super nice. Key card needed to access elevator which I appreciate as a safety precaution
Negatives:
Rooms had a humid smell, I wasnt fond of. A little confusing to arrive too unless youre familiar with the area. Could hear the garbage trucks or whatever they were make a crazy amount of noice at 3am which woke us up but went away after a while.

Positives:
Central location. Good breakfast.
Negatives:
Old. Not updated. Hard uncomfortable mattress and pillows. No microwave on room. Trash cans too small. Little room to pass each other. Plug in sockets not convenient. No parking discount. $63-$69 per day. Ironing board wouldn't stand. Propped it up between beds.

Positives:
It was at the heart of the city.
Negatives:
The rooms AC were not working, only to find out that it has been a problem days before we checked-in. Reception staff did not attend to our requests to at least give us fans for our kids.
Review
It was by far the worst hotel experience we had.
Positives:
The hotel is in a great location. It is a short walk from the major CTA lines, downtown shopping, the Riverwalk and Michigan Ave (The Magnificent Mile).
