The property was close to Michigan avenue with shops, places to eat and drink and the pier.
Negatives:
I booked a king suite with a lakeside view. They originally put us on the 6th floor with a view of the city. After talking to a lady at the front desk they moved us to the 16th floor but still had a city view. The reason we chose to stay there was because we wanted a view of Lake Michigan and that’s what was said on the website. We splurged for that view and would not have spent that kind of money to just have a city view that we can get at almost any hotel. Do not advertise something that is not true.

The location of the hotel is great - steps from the Water Tower and Hancock building, and easy to go for a walk/run along the lakefront.
Negatives:
The rooms are really tired, and need a refresh. Our room smelled moldy, and the carpet was very worn out. Also, although we requested it, housekeeping never made up the sofa bed for my child to sleep in. We were there three nights, and they couldn't seem to manage it. Towels were in short supply, tissues ran out....this is a great location, but Hilton really needs to step in a do a makeover here. Also, verify that you are being charged the amount/rate that you booked at on Booking.com and bring your confirmation. The hotel tried to charge me over $300 more than my confirmed rate and only adjusted it when I showed then my confirmation.
