Great rooms, lobby under renovation.
Negatives:
Under renovation. Not even a coffee machine in the room. Horrible value. I want my money back.

Bad
Positives:
A lovely hotel, beautifully decorated, with a lovely boutique vibe - not at all 'faceless' like many hotels. Very well thought out, quirky decor. The 5-6pm wine hour was very nice and the location is excellent right on the river with lovely views. Bedrooms are large and bright with a very sweet window seat to look out below. Bathrooms are large with high-quality toiletries.
Negatives:
They are currently renovating until next April. As a result, there is no bar, restaurant or downstairs seating area. Also due to renovations breakfast is served in a conference room, and because it is so far from the kitchen, it is a small buffet, not very hot, and the plates are cold, so the food gets cold. They have a complimentary wine hour at 5pm which is a nice touch, but due to renovations, it is held in a conference breakout room lacking in atmosphere and with everybody on top of each other as it is very small. When renovations are completed, and all of these temporary issues are fixed, it will be an outstanding offering.

Loved it, would stay again, but only after the renovations are completed.
Positives:
I had been staying with you before and very much enjoyed my visit, so when I came back for a conference, I decided to stay with you again. I t was another wonderful stay and your front desk/door staff and the hosts at Happy Hour were fantastic and so welcoming. Thank you! (I didn't interact with anybody else!) May I also add that the best thing for me are the big window sills where you can sit with your book and never actually read because it is so wonderful to just watch the world go by.....
Negatives:
Necessary to do, but I was sad that the restaurant was closed for renovation. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the new place!

Perfect! Thank you!
Positives:
Room was a great size for Chicago. Perfect location walking distance to all the main sites downtown. Customer service was top notch
Negatives:
Room service was truly inedible and i don't say that lightly. We ordered breakfast that I have to assume was taken directly from the breakfast buffet that had been sitting out for hours. The pancakes were soggy- the eggs were tough and gross. Paid over $40 for 2 people and We could not eat any of it. We tried again at dinner and it was somehow worse- the chicken tenders is actually 3 giant McDonald like textured chicken nuggets. I have never seen anything like it. They were kind to replace it with a Caesar salad but that also was no good. It was a bit surprising for a hotel of this caliber to have such bad food.
