The location.

The carpet in room was dirty and the bedframe had a piece of duck tape I guess to cover a tear. The lobby is under construction so waiting for cars/ubers we had to literally stand on top of other patrons with luggage and carts. The guy who helped us dropped an item and a suitcase and looked at me to pick up which I did. Lastly, And our rooms were supposed to be together and they were not. Even after I called to change. I had 1148 and 1149 and my girlfriend was in 10th floor. Lastly, the parking lot as a block over and they only gave $10 off to use it. So $40+ to park and we have to go and get our own cars and park them? Crazy. Not staying here ever again.

Positives:
This is an excellent choice for a hotel in downtown Chicago. It is easily walkable to the riverwalk (and many great riverside restaurants) and the Navy Pier. The room had a beautiful view and was clean, elegant and commodious. The bathroom was clean with a great shower, and the bed was large and comfortable. Very nice terrace for drinks with a view. At the end of our stay, we walked to the nearby water taxi for a ride to Union Train Station to catch our train to Seattle - good way to see the city from the river!

Very welcoming, friendly staff. Great workout room, lap pool, and restaurant. Lobby had hot chocolate and cookies, too. It is tucked away a few blocks from Michigan Ave and within walking distance to our favorite stores.
