Positives:
The rooms and ambiance were very unique and well done. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Clean and spacious rooms at a reasonable price, especially for being in downtown Chicago. Small on-site bar which is convenient if needed.
Negatives:
It is located right beside the L-train. Fortunately, my room was on the opposite side of the hotel and I could never actually hear the trains rolling by. However, my colleague who traveled with me had a room on the side of the hotel that faced the train, and she could definitely hear each and every train that rolled through during the night. DEFINITELY REQUEST A ROOM ON THE SIDE OF THE HOTEL NOT FACING THE TRAIN AT CHECK-IN!!!!

The 49.50$ amenity fee. It felt like that was just thrown in with the taxes etc. As I was only staying one night, the amount I paid for those “extras” wasn’t not a good value but by I wasn’t able to waive them. When looking g for a hotel it’s nice to know the full cost up front

Positives:
Good location - walkable to downtown. Access to free laundry facilities and basic kitchen. Good shower, comfortable beds.
Negatives:
Staff were rude ( if you could find them). Room cleaning was minimal. The loop train ran 3ft outside our room window. Room pricing was overcomplicated and was supposed to include all sorts of “benefits” which were never offered to us or explained how we could take advantage of them.

The room was nothing like the pictures. On the site it said it sleeps 5 people. That was bs! The room clearly sleeps 2 people. The lady wouldn’t let me pay to upgrade the room. She was trying to tell me no room was available but taking calls in another language saying she have rooms available. So I had my white friend book us another room& she told him it was available. Not knowing I can speak her language to and understand what she was saying
