The St. Clair Hotel - Magnificent Mile

Negatives: The room was very small, with barely enough space to walk around. There was no desk or chair, no fridge and a very small “closet”. The coffee machine was on the bottom shelf of the bedside table and you had to literally kneel on the floor to access it. The A/C was so noisy that I had to turned it off and rather be hot than having the noise like a motorcycle in the room. The common areas in the building are old. The cleaning and laundry carts and repair tools are parked on each floor making it crammed and unpleasant, the hallways have an odor of old carpet. The elevators are small and are shared with the staff, who is constantly moving up and down the building with cleaning supplies, ladders, drills, tools, laundry baskets occupying almost the entire space available. The elevator capacity is 5 people. I stayed for three nights, they didn’t clean my room for the first two nights. I had to insist to get it cleaned because I was checking out the next day. I go to Chicago often, I was not there on vacation and I stayed in several hotels in downtown Chicago. I will not stay there again and would not recommend it.

Negatives: elevators were slow. small rooms.

Negatives: The wifi didn't work, we asked about it at reception, they said they would re-set it but I'm not sure what happened after that coz it still didn't work. The lifts were always busy, had to use stairs to go up to L6 multiple times. A random man waiting near the lifts on my floor made sexual comments towards me. No iron in the room.

Negatives: Space in rooms a bit tight, lifts slow
