This was our second stay, having begun and ended our journey on Route 66 here. The pool is great and the property with the fire pit and pond is really quite special.
Negatives:
We had some issues with our initial booking (through Hotwire), but a staff member eventually resolved it (though we had to go through a few staff to do it).. Booking.com was seamless.
I would skip breakfast and go to Cracker Barrel across the street, but you are likely to have a decent burger here in the evening. Front of house staff were really nice, but both times at the restaurant we found the wait staff to be a bit oddly blunt.

Positives:
The location was good for our trip. The property is beautiful. The rooms were clean, and, until the air conditioning stopped working it was comfortable.
Negatives:
The air conditioner broke in the middle of the first night of a two night stay. I reported it to the front desk and they said they’d send maintenance up, but no one came and, since we were in town for a concert and it was very late when we got back we ended up spending the second night without any air conditioning.

UPDATE ON MANAGER NAME; The bathroom light bulb was blown. I asked multiple times for someone to fix it, or at least give me a bulb to replace. I wasn’t offered another room we showered and used the restroom in the dark. Manager Susan said she will give me a call once she confirm why I was not assisted. One week has passed still no call back from Susan.
