It was very close to the venue we were attending

It was pretty dirty. I had to wear shoes the entire time I was inside because even after they cleaned the room, a bunch of nasty crunchy stuff would end up on the bottom of my feet if I didn't wear my shoes.

The grounds themselves were full of trash and bikes all over the place. The room was disgusting. Broken lamp, black dirt (Im assuming) was all over the walls, the carpet between the beds looked like it had never been cleaned, the tub in the bathroom had major paint peeling inside and out, but the most disgusting thing (I almost puked) was when I was checking out the bed sheets and bed skirt and there was a ton of hair and what I can only assume is cat litter, everywhere. I was literally in the room for 15 minutes and I left. I told the man at the desk I couldnt stay in that room. Wasnt offered a different room and if I was there was no chance I would. He told me since I booked with booking.com Id have to contact them for a refund. I did that, and was told Red Roof was not cooperating. I had to book a room at another hotel down the road. Apparently that hotel had also heard that the Red Roof was awful.

The property accused my party of smoking when no one in my group smokes anything of any kind. The room had a tobacco aroma prior to our stay.

We werent allowed to stay after multiple prior trips.
Positives:
I loved how comfortable and put together the room was. It was nicely sized, not too big or small. Had very little issues.
Negatives:
The toilet wobbled a little bit. The TV didn't have the best options, and is a little outdated, but I was still able to find something to watch, so I wasn't too picky about it.

Probably will never book a red roof inn again!
Positives:
Did not feel safe, was trying to find another hotel . Room was awful. Needed painted. Safe didnt work. No iron , bathroom awfully small needed new tub and paint
