The shuttle took an hour from the airport.
The front desk staff were not friendly or welcoming.
The breakfast was bad—lukewarm, barely heated sausages and potatoes; the coffee was out (at 6:30 am); only artificial creamers had been set out; only sweetened yogurts.
The room bathroom was not very clean.
$175 was a complete rip-off for such a cheap place.

The Hampton Inn was very good overall. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, and the room was spacious with a nice bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The breakfast offered was very good, and the proximity to the airport, along with the convenient shuttle ride, was exactly what we needed for our early flight.
Negatives:
The main issue we encountered was the extremely thin walls. We could hear a noisy mother yelling at her children until well past midnight, which made it difficult to fall asleep. This lack of soundproofing significantly impacted our ability to rest before our early morning flight. Additionally, the hotel did not have a restaurant, which might be an inconvenience for some guests.

Upon booking, I felt that the value was reasonable. However, while there, we had an awful experience sleeping with traffic noise. Our room was right off the main road that runs in front of the the hotel’s main entrance. Even with the room fan, and my own phone as a white noise machine, we heard every single car that drove by, and it was constant, and very loud. The worst experience I’ve ever had with noise in a hotel. Kind of ruined our day as both of us were in town for a Cubs game after checking out, but got little to no sleep for the day after driving 5 hours to get there. Will be choosing another location next time.

Room was clean & breakfast was very good every morning.
Negatives:
There was no vent in the bathroom, so when you took a shower it would steam up the room.
Also, one morning the fire alarm went off on the fifth floor and when we told the front desk they said they didn’t show any indication of that.
This was very concerning because if a guest is coming to tell you the the fire alarm is going off & the front desk staff doesn’t know or seem to believe the guest staying in the hotel, it doesn’t make you feel very safe.
