Good location and a surprisingly nice breakfast.

You could tell it was a low budget place. Shower ran out of hot water, there was a hair stuck on the inside of the bathroom door, exhaust fan was dirty in the bathroom and didn't work, there was a bottle of liquor in the parking lot when we got there, and the A/C had to be on 65 to make it feel reasonable in the room

For example, if you for any reason, can’t make the check in time then they don’t give you another chance .
The hotel, take your money and never pay you back.

First impressions are everything. Walking into the front desk, I noticed random disorganized furniture that was out of place. Which I put aside and paid in full for the room while continuing to be open-minded. As I unlocked the door to the room I turned on a light that was consistently flickered, I then flipped on another light which didn't turn on at all, so it was pitch black with only a flickering light. The bedding wasn't presentable and looked disheveled. My 9 year old looked at me and immediately asked if we could leave. No hesitation, I agreed and walked to the desk. I explained that we were checking out. The associate suggested another room, but I had already seen enough and couldn't leave fast enough. This reminded me of the beginning of a horror film. The clerk did a cancelation on my behalf, and even after I paid in full, the hotel tried to collect a second payment.
