Aloft South Bend

Negatives: The pool area was filthy. There were candy, wrappers, and trash all over the area of the pool. The water was dirty. There were kids throwing football that almost hit me in my daughter.

Negatives: When we arrived a community event was taking place in the lobby and was so extremely loud that I could not even hear the person at the front desk that was checking me in and providing directions for parking. Tried to ask for clarification, but it was impossible to hear absolutely anything she was saying. We dropped our bags in the room (which was lovely!!) and when trying to leave hotel for dinner, this same group had the entire lobby area blocked while someone was making a presentation. We attempted to move through the group, but felt like we were imposing on someone elses party and not as if WE were the paying customer. I understand the need for local marketing, but not at the risk of the customers who have paid to stay at and use the facility amenities. Would have loved to have had a drink and played a few games in the lobby after we arrived. Perhaps a conference room would be more appropriate for this groups meeting.

Negatives: Our only complaint is the construction noise from the parking garage project. Even on the tenth floor the noise (during business hours only) was very audible. We would also recommend adding some additional towel hooks in the bathroom.

Negatives: Our room was positioned right across from the cleaning staff room where the elevator and other equipment were left and that door was often left wide open. It was quite eerie to see.

Negatives: Too me it was prefect

Negatives: Paper thin walls could hear everything going on inside and out of the hotel

Negatives: The beds seemed lumpy and the counters where they keep the food was full of construction dust. They rent out their lobby so it was quite noisy. The conditioner and shower gel bottles were empty

Negatives: Sliding door for bathroom does not close completely. Very noisy rooms. You can hear rooms around you, cleaning staff and other workers. Very cold, industrial feel to the hallways.
