I have no complains about the hotel and facilities except the breakfast options could have more choices since I stayed for 5 nights. It gets boring after the 3rd breakfast.
Negatives:
My Biggest Disappointment is the billing. I booked via Booking.com and my credit card was charged. However, the front desk staff asked for my credit card details when I checked in. When I checked out I reconfirmed that I will not be charged again. However, recently my bank notified me about double charges. One from Booking.com and one directly from the hotel. As I am not residing in US it will be very expensive to make an International phone call directly to the hotel from my country. I did asked someone local to contact the hotel on my behalf but the answer given was not very satisfactory nor acceptable. The only answer provided was they claimed not to have charged me but my bank statement proved otherwise. I have written to the Mgr Mr William and i hope the email address provided is correct ie gm2@bestwesternames.com This is my first trip to Ames and sadly this does not project a memorable experience at Best Western todate. Hope to hear a favourable reply soonest for the refund. Thank you.
