Quality Inn at Collins Road - Cedar Rapids

Negatives: Although not a problem for me the facility did not have an elevator. I saw several older people struggling to get their luggage up the stairs. My room the curtains needed to stay partially open to get the AC to flow into the room and not behind the curtains. The problem with that was exterior lighting lit up the whole room with the curtains open.

Negatives: Parking was terrible. For the price, could have been a little better.

Negatives: 1st room shower was inop. 2nd room very damp, musty, paint bubbling on the walls in many places so is due to possible water leaks and possible mold? Carpet very dirty. Socks thrown away.

Negatives: Staff hussled me out immediately at check out time as I was trying to wrap up myself. Threatened late check out fee for needing 15 extra minutes due to long night before and sleeping in.

Negatives: Room had many issues. First off I opened the mini fridge to use it and there was food leftover from the last occupant. I called the front desk and their solution was for me to throw it away and they would come and clean the fridge. I was on the second floor and there was no screen in the windows you could just open it and hop right out if wanted to The would turn on but no matter what you did you had no volume after it being on for about 3 minutes the sound would just turn off and disappear.The staff at the front desk said she didnt have time to look at it, her solution was for me to use closed captioning. The bathroom had mold all over the shower curtain to the point my wife refused to use the restroom there even. Decided after all this to just read my book and went to turn on the lamp, and surprise it didn't have any light bulbs in it. After again walking down to front desk and getting a light bulb the lamp would only work if you proped it partly on a book at an angle because it had a short in the power cord. LOL and lastly when I checked in I used my credit card but on top of this they also wanted 100 dollar deposit which I was told would be returned in the morning at checkout. So I used my debit card and gave them the 100 dollar deposit and the next day when I checked out was told that they would refund my 100 dollars back to my debit card in 7 to 10 business days. I asked why they would tell me that I would get it back in the morning if it would take that long to get it back and the desk clerk said to "deal with it and if I don't like it don't stay there." Trust me that's not an issue as I will never be using that hotels accommodation again. Oh and FYI the money was put back on my debit card 13 days later. So folks if you want to pay premium price for a room thats not worth bargain price plus have another 100 dollars just floating around for almost 2 weeks this place is the place for you.

Negatives: room smelled and was dusty and blankets and stains and sheets were dirty!
