Positives: Rooms were big, the. Staff didn't know how to turn the sound down on the remote. They told me the sound was preset and can't be changed.

Negatives: The doors to go in the halls from outside where not locked. The room I had the windows wasn't in all the way. Wifi didn't work. No plug in around expect inthe bathroom that I could find. It was a scary place for a single women by herself to stay.

Positives: The price was pretty good.
Negatives: Could not find the room do to no room number signs. Killed a spider and an ant in the room. Tv remote only worked part time. Breakfast not very good.

Negatives: Bad host /owner / GM. He played all the roles. He was a Liar, a per se thief, and all around snakey character. Bad customer service, no hot water one day. Contractor right outside the door while I was trying to sleep. Had to change rooms, no heat in it he did replace it with an old machine. Wouldn't trust that guy with a imaginary friend. Worst place I'll ever stay.

Positives: I did get a good rate online. The old Frontier was familiar property. Use to attend all you can eat fish fry.
Negatives: The hallways and some of the common areas wasn’t maintained. Look like there was tiles missing in the ceiling. It was drab and old. The breakfast was ok, but they didn’t have eggs. The room was not pleasant to sit down and eat. It appeared most people took their food back to their room.

Positives: The bed was comfortable.
Negatives: There was black gunk on the heating unit, and the shower never warmed up. A chilly morning shower in winter in Iowa is not a great way to start the day.

Positives: Given the very low room rate, my expectations weren't high. I was very pleasantly surprised because everything in the room was in very good condition (furniture, bathroom fixtures, carpet, etc. etc.). The staff were also very friendly and helpful!
Negatives: The outside of the hotel is not in great shape, including trash at the doorways and dingy hallways and stairs. Still, the hotel is investing well in the rooms themselves which it what really matters. It all still felt very safe, so I'm OK with that.
