Dog friendly, good location and polite staff.
Negatives:
It had nothing to do with the hotel but some of the guests. Because it's a dog-friendly hotel, one of the guests allowed their dog to stay crated and alone for hours on end and it cried the entire time.

the kids in the pool were rowdy - parents had their alcoholic beverages in the pool and hot tub while the kids were not being watched - jumping over peoples heads, running and climbing on everything

Warmth of the interior decoration, being able to control room temperature, kind staff.

Shower gets floor wet, lamp with charger next to bed did not work, and able to hear other rooms open and close.

The rooms could be updated a little and the bathroom shower needs updated. The bottom was very slippery even though there were no skid strips in it they weren't helping that much to not slip around.

Cleanliness. The staff was friendly. The shower would be good for people who can't lift their legs but would not be suitable if a bath is needed for young kids. Also, I liked having the option of sitting by the fire at night out side.
Negatives:
I wish they offered more protein options for breakfast. They had scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. Either sausage or bacon would work.
