Very clean, room was spacious, and I enjoyed the drinks and snacks in the evening

The location of this hotel was great - centrally located in downtown Des Moines, and very walkable to many destinations. Coffee shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, and just a short jaunt to the Wells Fargo Center.
Negatives:
This hotel was filthy. My room had mysterious white splatters all over the door, there were makeup smears on the sheets, and the toilet had clearly not been cleaned from the previous guest.

Location, friendlyness of staff was wonderful.
Negatives:
I counted 25 things about the room that needed repair, wallpaper peeling, carpet fraying, furniture damaged ect. The pool was filthy so our girls didn't swim.

The location is hard to beat as it's one of only a few in the East Village of Des Moines.

This old bird is showing her age. Rooms are beat up, HVAC units are on life support, hit or miss on equipment working, pool didn't look like it had been cleaned in a long while.

For breakfast they ran out of fruit and didnt replace it. The hotel needs to be updated.

Happy hour was nice especially on a weekend too. Breakfast was done well. Great location and ride to game was much appreciated. Staff was very professional and the lady making omelettes was great.

Could use a little remodeling. Was a bit worn looking. Hot tub would be a great addition. Breakfast selection for pastries and fruit could be better.
