Positives:
Perfect location, beautiful accommodations, extremely comfortable bed, I toothpaste is really well done decor both in the hotel room and throughout the hotel. Great public balcony. Coffee shop and restaurant in the hotel were fantastic. Very easy in and out parking garage that is part of the hotel.

One bed was on a broken box spring which made it unsteady, hotel came to look at it while we were out, determined it was not broken and offered a coffee shop credit which was kind. College town problems. Bathrooms weren't very clean. Again, this is an old hotel in a middle of a college town, don't expect to eat off the floors.

The office staff was wonderful checking in, and checking out. I just dropped my daughter off for her freshman year at Iowa. While checking out the young man gave me his business card and told me to reach out when I come back, and he would take care of me. My daughter is my only child, and I'm. 11-12 hrs away...he was so kind!! We will definitely be back to stay again!!

Positives:
So cute and well-themed! Great location—right on the pedestrian mall and easy access to many fun shops and venues. The bed was a bit soft for me but that’s just preference. The common areas were very welcoming, clean, and bright. The team was friendly, fast, professional and personable. Rate wildly fluctuate and I’ll definitely stay here again any time I am in Iowa City and can get a good rate.
Negatives:
I’m not sure how much the noise from the pedestrian mall would bother travelers or people trying to sleep here before the parties end in the mall. I was there during a slow season (about four weeks before school started) so without all the college kids in town it was not loud at the ped mall.

Room.was comfortable and well equipped and the top floor gave good views in middle of clean campus area.
Negatives:
No car park, deal with adjacent car park added $20 to the cost.
