Breakfast was good. The place was quiet, the beds were comfortable and clean. We liked the fact that there was a fridge and a microwave in the room.

It's convenient to the highway, but it's surrounded by car dealerships. So the area is not very nice and surprisingly enough there's not enough parking.

Breakfast was good, but they didn’t have any protein one morning.
Negatives:
The first night the toilet started overflowing uncontrollably minutes after arriving. Nothing was even coming up, just a plumbing issue. We got moved to a new room and then that toilet wouldn’t flush. Maintenance had to come repair. Then on our second night the front desk gave our room (and a room key) to another guest. We had two infant babies in our room with us. Luckily I had the additional lock over our door because the gentleman was trying to entire while we were sleeping.

The staff is very friendly. We had a room facing the swimming pool, and it was very noisy because of the cleaning water machine. We complained, and the staff immediately changed our room to a quiet one despite the fact we had already used the towels and the bed.

Staff was amazing and accommodating. The location is kind of crazy and the highway noise is SO LOUD when you're outside, and surprisingly blocked when you're inside. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised. Rooms were recently updated, breakfast was pretty good. I was just driving through, and I would absolutely stay here again.
Negatives:
Location was convenient for just passing through, but I wouldn't want that location if you're sticking around in Des Moines. But very minor if you just need a place to lay your head.
