Avid hotel Sioux City - Downtown

Negatives: The actual hotel I stayed at was amazing staff was great. But I had a sketch experience with a possible scam . They called me the day of my reservation and left a voicemail saying since I chose the pay at the location option they don’t have to honor my reservation. So i called the number on booking.com asking about it and they made me sing up for their rewards program and then said my reservation was confirmed and hey and then transferred me to this sales pitch supposedly from corporate of how since i am a new rewards member if i spend $250 today k will get a trip for 4 people will a reimbursement for half of what i paid. So if you stay here maybe goggle the actual locations number not the one on booking.com

Negatives: Noisy building-could here people moving about the building

Negatives: We only had two towels. When we asked the front lady in the morning at 8am for another towel because our son needed to shower for us to get out the door for wedding festivities. Was told they have no towels. We would have to wait until the rooms were cleaned and towels were washed. I asked how soon that would be and was told 2 to 3 hours.She told us dont have enough towels because they are expensive. I then let them her know they weren't very accommodating to the guest. She then told me she had no towels. I then went back upstairs to tell my son he would have to use a hand towel. Went back downstairs to get coffee, and she had a towel. But my son was already done with the shower. We then asked if they cleaned the rooms when we were gone and was told we were only there for 3 days. So my husband said welll ok, we dont want anyone in our room." We came back later that night, and the towels were replinished but again only had 2 towels. When we checked in, we were also told well you get no points because you booked 3rd party." We said ok sounds good."" We asked her what rhe rates were without booking 3rd party, and the total was over 100 more. The room was small and hard for 3 people to navigate around.

Negatives: Very minimal stuff in room. Could hear loud banging in hall all night.

Negatives: Staff not the friendliest we’ve encountered

Negatives: The lady at the front desk was not friendly and when we asked for more towels they told us they had no clean towels.

Negatives: The breakfast was not what we expected. I'm not even sure you could call that a limited continental breakfast. We went out for a hot breakfast.

Negatives: Bathroom had some disrepair issues from wear and tear and had not been cleaned well, if at all (pee stains on the floor in front of the toilet) and hair and dirt on the floor.

Negatives: Only exception is the room above me was noisy in the morning and woke me up.

Negatives: Room was a bit compact but worked great for a one night stay.

Negatives: Too small. No coffee. Garbage still on the floor and room not made up. Way over priced.
