Great location. Had live music in the lobby restaurant. Always people around. Room was spacious.
Negatives:
The noise was insane. All night long ricer cars would rev their engines as they drive by. Around 3AM the killdozer (never found out what it actually was) would start up making tons of noise until about 6AM. It was so loud it sounded like it was about to bulldoze the hotel with us in it. There must be no sound proofing between the rooms and the outside. We ended up checking out the night before we were scheduled to just to drive 5 hours home where we knew we would actually get to sleep in peace.

Negatives:
Limited staff, AC / Heater is way too outdated for the price. Maybe cut back on the next remodel and incorporate 21st century ac units and not floor wall loud uneven roadway inn AC units. Also extremely limited drinking courtesy water supply. Spent three nights, they only clean rooms every other day and provide one courtesy water bottle per room. Espresso/coffee machine ( not free ) at lobby is 20 years too late specially for the price. At close to $400 dollars a night maybe provide products/services of a $200 dollar a night hotel. Property just seems understaffed. Too many MBA’s making hospitality decisions on the customer experience for an ALOFT labelled property.

Positives:
Location was very convenient and the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean both in the room and in the common areas.
Negatives:
The room felt like a glorified office cubicle, stark and dark. Guest experience was not well thought out at all. There was no light switch or power outlet in the actual bathroom. The light switches in the entire room were in weird locations and did not correspond well to the actual lights. Also did not like having to get ice in the basement. Parking and overall nightly rates were very expensive for such a bare bones experience.

We had a great three night stay while in Louisville. All the staff members we friendly and answered any questions we had. Jocelyn at the front desk was on duty most of our stay and she was amazing. Always greeted us with a smile. This location is just a 10 min drive to the airport, several places to dine within walking distance and just minutes from interstates going all directions. Request a west facing room to see the city lights at night. KFC center is within walking distance. Churchill Downs and the Expo arena are just 10 min away by car.
Negatives:
Not a big deal, but our refrigerator didn't work well, so we couldn't keep anything cold in the room. The parking garage directly across the street is an easy walk, but quite expensive as it is a city run facility, so no stay discounts.
