The Fontenot is located in the Warehouse District, close to the river and it has a lot of character. We were able to walk to most of the well known attractions, also to the trolley car routes .The first room we were allocated was very disappointing, with one window looking onto the airconditioning duct and no chairs to sit on. This might be all right for an overnight stay, but we were there for 4 nights, so on request, we were moved to a larger . brighter room with a good view. Thankyou for being flexible. It made a huge difference to our stay in NOLA.

The attractive dining room did not open for breakfast until 9am, although the coffee shop was adequate for a quick meal.

Character filled hotel in Warehouse...

I liked the property. The staff was nice and beds comfy.
Negatives:
The hotel double-charged us for our stay and neglected to comp our breakfast even though we paid for a package with it included. They fixed it when we saw it on our credit card bill and called to inquire, but it was still a $800 error and a headache. Also, we chose this hotel out of the hustle and bustle because they advertised having bikes. When we arrived they said ALL of their bikes had flat tires and in need of repair. None were available. That’s fishy and disappointing. My fiancé has problems with his foot and we chose the hotel because the bikes would make us more mobile. Instead, we had to walk a good way to all the sights and his mobility was impaired. Beautiful. Nice staff. Disappointing bike and payment experiences.
