Being charged $200 upfront for “ incidentals”. The incidentals they are referring to is the ‘concession stand in each room which by the way was missing items that I noticed when I took inventory when I first arrived. I did let the staff know to make sure I would not be charged the $200.

They got everything right !
Positives:
The location is great for both Convention Center and visiting the French Quarter. The staff was always nice and caring. If you have breakfast included, it works like this: each day you get a $45 coupon that you can redeem in the hotel's restaurant for breakfast or brunch (till 1pm). It's enough to have both a breakfast and a light lunch. The breakfast is a-la cart with waiter service, so be prepared to tip. Hint: you can use the remaining amount of the voucher to tip waiters!

The hotel is modern and nicely decorated. Very good atmosphere. The room I stayed was big and had all necessary comfort. The hotel is also ideally located in the warehouse district with many good restaurants nearby and walking distance from the French Quarter.
