We stayed at this hotel seven years ago and were very pleased with its central location, breakfast, cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff, so we chose this hotel again, but I realized that we made a mistake in thinking that the old service quality would continue.
We made a reservation with breakfast included through Booking.com. When we went to the restaurant for breakfast, we saw that it was a la carte. Their policy had changed. When we said that we were staying at the hotel and made a reservation with breakfast included, they said that we could choose a menu for 23 dollars per person. We bought a menu consisting of eggs, potatoes (undercooked almost raw) and sausage. The service at breakfast was sloppy, the tea was cold, the bread was burnt and the food was tasteless. Since the other options on the menu did not suit our taste, it is safe to say that we left hungry. It was a bad practice and you were forced to eat things you didn't want. We canceled it after realizing that we were charged an extra fee for the black tea we drank for breakfast, which they first said was out of stock and then found and brought. When we asked, they said that they started such an application after the COVID 19 pandemic and that they could not find enough personnel after the pandemic. Neither booking.com nor the hotel informed us of this situation during the reservation.
Front desk employees were friendly, but I cannot say the same for other service employees.
In general, the hotel is a bit neglected. The cleanliness had worsened compared to before, especially in the bathroom. The floor was getting wet because the bathroom cistern was leaking water from somewhere, and the shower etc. was calcified. Shower was not working properly. Flushing was a problem because there was a problem with the water filling of the toilet cistern. The hotel definitely needs a good maintenance and renovation.

Rooms were old school traditional but the outside of the hotel was modern built. It s understandable. but a difficult architectural balance . Only bothers a building purist like me. I liked the rooms, I wish the building was more historic but appreciated the modern amenities.
