Positives: Room should have been out of order. From arrival at room #205, I had the ‘pleasure’ of 2 maintenance workers disassemble the wardrobe doors and deploy heating equipment to defrost the fridge to render it in working order, all on my precious private time. Asked for a room change, none was available!, So for in excess of US$300, I was entreated to an afternoon/evening of maintenance workers plying their trade. The housekeeping dept apparently lacked for an iron to press linens not to mention any interest in making a bed correctly. The responsibility for all shortfalls lie squarely on the shoulders of the GM Mr. Matthew McCagg who is ultimately responsible for his departments and department heads. Both housekeeping and maintenance were abysmal. Kudos however to Maggie Poisson whose valiant efforts at damage control did not go unnoticed. Maggie, in her position as Guest Services Manager reached out to a neighboring property in an effort to solve the problem. By then, my exhaustion had overwhelmed me. Gone was the notion of a swim followed by a jacuzzi dip. Apparently the hot tub/jacuzzi advertised is just a warm tub without jets! I finally capitulated. I cancelled my plans to dine with friends at Fore Street restaurant, grabbed a salad and quesadilla at the hotel (compliments of Maggie) and returned to my almost 2 star abode.

Positives: Comfy bed, clean room and great location, amazing views

Positives: The location was excellent. We have never stayed in a hotel where the entire staff was friendly and helpful. They all seemed happy to serve the customers.
