Location was ideal and close to many shopping centers and entertainment

Untidy entrance, reception and lobby area. There was a trash can overflowing with waste near the reception and that wasn’t a great look for a hotel lobby and instantly made me worry about the cleanliness of our room. While our room was clean enough, it wasn’t a comfortable space. We struggled managing the temperature as the thermostat would not adjust to the set temp. Mattress was cheap and springy and pillows were overused, flat and worn out. Additional, despite the no smoking policy, the 7th floor hallway was filled with the smell of weed and was extremely frustrating because the smell was all over our room as well. When I notified the front desk, she mentioned another couple complained about the same thing and that she would investigate. But of course that doesn’t really fix the unpleasant odor in our room that we had to deal with. Absolutely not even slightly worth the amount of money we paid for 2 nights.

Not only we didn’t enjoy...
Positives:
I liked the location.
Negatives:
I didn't like the room, it was so old and unclean. There was previous damage to the room.
The a/c unit wouldn't stay on the whole night.
There was a lacrosse tournament there that kept me up all Friday night.
The second night There was a wedding and I chose to leave rather than spend another night in hell

We had a good time. This hotel was booked last minute and didn't have any issues until the last day.
Negatives:
We were at the bar/restaurant and noticed a mouse running around. Notified staff that attempted to to catch it with traps but was unsuccessful. My son and I were about to catch it and set it free outside, you would have thought the extra helping hand, especially when people are checking in, so that they don't see a mouse running around where food is prepared would have gotten us a discount on the food and drinks we ordered..... It did not. Maybe next time I'll let the mouse live his best life.
