My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The property was under heavy construction and, frankly, should not have been open to guests in its current state. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hotel was in complete disarray. Here are some of the major issues I encountered:
Under Construction: The hotel was actively being renovated, with work clearly not even close to completion. Abandoned furniture filled the hallways, presumably from the ongoing room updates, which gave an uncomfortable, messy atmosphere. There should have been full transparency about this before booking, or they should have closed the hotel temporarily.
Leaking Toilet: The bathroom in my room was not up to par, with the toilet leaking water onto the floor. This was both unsanitary and inconvenient, and it should never have been overlooked.
Hot Water Issues: Hot water was not available, as signs around the hotel indicated that guests should expect only lukewarm water at best. This notice appeared only after I had checked in and was already staying there—completely unacceptable for any guest.
Gym Facilities Misrepresented: The hotel advertised a gym, but upon arrival, I discovered it was entirely empty. All gym equipment had been removed, which was very misleading given the photos in the brochure.
Breakfast Area: The ceiling in the breakfast area was removed, leaving exposed wires and dust everywhere, creating an unpleasant, even unsafe, environment to eat in.
Elevator Condition: The elevators were chipped and scratched, likely from the construction activity, which added to the overall sense of neglect in the hotel.
Dim Lighting: Finally, the hotel was dimly lit throughout, which created an odd and unwelcoming ambiance, not at all what one would expect in a hospitality environment.
Overall, the property was clearly not ready to welcome guests, and I left feeling frustrated and misled. I would strongly advise against booking here until the renovations are fully com

The location and the staff did the best with what they had.
Negatives:
This LaQuinta has deteriorated over the years. This is my 4th stay and it has lost quality each stay never recovering from the pandemic. I doubt this hotel will be here in a couple years. I hope the next hotel chain restores it to the enjoyable stay it once was.
