The staff is attentive, the breakfast is good and the neighborhoods areas is nice.
Negatives:
My wife and me are both over 60 years old and we are frequent guests of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington MA. During my last stay, something serious happened. At 11:10 PM on December 11, we woke up to an attempted break-in in our room. The only reason the break-in attempt was unsuccessful was because we always leave the upper internal door lock on (bolt lock). Allowed by the bolt lock, the door was opened about 4 inches with a loud noise and was subsequently closed. After 1 minute, someone knocked on the door and said something unintelligible, then we heard the sound of the door closing in a near room. I called the front desk and the employee came to the room. I opened the door and explained what had happened. He told me not to worry (how?). I asked about the hallway camera and he told me that it just shows the elevator hall, not the hallway to the rooms. I checked out at 3:00 AM because I had an early flight. I explained what had happened to the receptionist and asked how anyone could have the key card to my room other than me and my wife. She couldn't explain and apologized. I think we were in real danger that night.

Remain your door bolt lock...
Positives:
The staff were absolutely amazing. Michelle was very accommodating helped us with where to park, which exit was best to take to get to the restaurant we were going to since we were walking. Wish I was also willing to help us with anything and everything we needed. All of the staff were very helpful and very nice. The room was large very clean. There were choices at breakfast for almost everyone. They did have a fitness room we did not take advantage of that as our schedule was very packed. They did have a garage under the hotel as well as some spots down from the hotel if you wanted to access either of those.
Negatives:
The wall and ceiling were very thin and you could hear noise from people either entering or exiting. The first night you I could have told you where they came in where they went I mean you could just hear their footsteps all over the place. That's the one negative that I have. Otherwise the place was great.

The location is excellent and having a kitchen is great. Breakfast was excellent.
The hvac is powerful but can get hot quickly.
Negatives:
The deadbolt was broken and would not engage but the staff said they would check it.
The building borders a busy road and hit can hear traffic at all hours if your room faces that side.

Breakfast quality was below hotel amenities and price. Limited selection of drinks and snacks. Room was too close to lobby and was not allowed to switch out of it. Work out room was small.
