The location, the valet team and the front desk staff were the best part about the hotel that was it.

Where do I start? The rooms are old. The air-conditioning doesn’t work in the peak of summer. I do not recommend this place at all. There’s no pool for the kids the mold in the bathroom. They’re very outdated. The air quality in the rooms was terrible. We needed to move rooms as on the corner rooms the aircon doesn’t work well. Even the rug was dirty and old - everything about the room was uncomfortable and overpriced. Location was fabulous yet I would never stay again.

The location was excellent. Very close to a T Line Green subway that we used often to go to Fenway and the Harbor area. Also within a short walking distance of great shopping areas nearby on Boylston and Newberry. The room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked great. Not much to look at from our 12th floor window as we were on the inside. Knew the room would be small since the hotels in the area are older buildings. We had the superior queen and had a refrigerator, two night tables, one chair. Not much room, but we were in and out all the time. The workout area is very nice, but it really is a separate business. You can get in with your room information, but there are people working out that are not from the hotel.
Negatives:
The room value is not great for the size of the room when you consider it was a "superior" queen room. The wicked rooms must be very small. The price for breakfast was way too expensive for what you get. There are several front clerks at check in, who were professional, but not all were as polite as you would expect from a nicer hotel. There is a 40 dollar a night room charge that we didn't know about. It is credited back, and you can use 15 dollars for food or other items, but it is something that is a little alarming.

No personalized service. You call guest services and its automated. They send you to an app to chat with someone. AC broke down and no one told us till we called maintenance because our room was full of condensation. We ordered room service and it all came in a bag and cardboard boxes, no dishes, plastic silverware, and disposable cups.
