Positives:
Room and bed were small, but a good value for the excellent location. The restaurant could have had more hours, although there was a shop selling snacks, baked goods and coffee. Bar is quite popular and was very crowded, but we waited and got a seat eventually.
Negatives:
Bigger bed, but would need a bigger room. We understand it's an old hotel and that's part of the character!

Literally on the walk to the hotel, I lost my ID and credit cards.
My husband has his ID and credit card, but the hotel forced me to call Bookings and have the name on the reservation changed, which was a huge hassle and cost me $50 more.
Terrible way to treat someone who is clearly in distress. Sad situation.

The bed was very comfortable and the towels were new, absorbent, and ample.

I requested early checkin when I made the reservation and explained it was my husband's birthday, we had dinner plans and would like access to the room as early as possible. We arrived at the hotel around noon. The man in reception said they had set aside a "corner room" for us which wasn't ready yet but they'd text us as soon as it was. We walked around downtown Boston for 3 1/2 hours waiting for the text and finally returned at 3:45 to find that the room was ready and a "key" was waiting for us at the desk. Noone knew how long it had been ready and the young woman I spoke to she had just gotten on duty and didn't know anything. Nobody offered us a bottle of water or if we needed anything else. Only the guy from Ethiopia who checked our bags while we walked around and the one who brought them out to us was friendly. The room itself was nothing special and in fact was kind of tired, with a tiny bathroom with almost no place to store bathroom supplies and could certainly have used another surface to place our possessions. The room (502) was kind of dark, located over a very narrow street with just one window and looked directly across to windows where people (maybe students) could clearly be seen and therefore could clearly see us. We kept the shade lowered most of the time. The man in reception implied that the "corner room" was something special and worth waiting for. It actually was kind of second-rate. We've stayed at this Omni a number of time before, it's my husband's favorite hotel in Boston, and it was a disappointing experience.
