Positives:
We thought the location was great, within 5 minutes walk of Boston Common and the start of the Freedom trail (which we did on our first full day). Also 5 minutes from the tube line (in Boston Common). The hotel staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming and helped loads with various questions. The lady at the bar on our first night was also great and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and we found larger than usual in cities and very clean (cleaned daily) with a really comfortable bed. Would stay here again when visiting Boston.

Negatives:
On our first night an alarm from a broken ice machine kept us awake all night. Just unfortunate but we felt we could have been offered a coffee even the following morning by way of compensation.

Solid hotel next to Boston Common and Back Bay, a nice prime location. Amazing staff, just the friendliest and most helpful people. Comfortable bed and very clean.

Positives:
Got a different room than I had paid for at check in (skyline view, King bed)but was compensated with 1 free breakfast and a room upgrade the day after
Negatives:
The heater in my room wasn't working and despite several calls and a handy man coming ,it was not fixed .Hardly slept the first night. In room dining was obviously from another place as it had delivery charges added. $70 for omelette, slice of toast and hot chocolate, we really could have ordered through Uber eats. Room was not cleaned on time (after 4pm) despite calling the reception to have it done. The hotel had no first aid box (pain killers) when my husband started running a fever at nighttime. Before I got back from CVS across the road, an ambulance had to be called because he had already passed out briefly from the fever. Just too many lapses from a 4 star hotel.
