Positives:
The location was great, there was a subway entrance to the green line just outside the hotel. There was a shopping mall across the street with several restaurants in the Prudential Center and a grocery a couple blocks away. The rooms were spacious with large windows and the lobby was pleasant and spacious also. The exterior was a brutalist concrete building.
Negatives:
Be aware that this hotel charges a $35 destination fee per night on top of the regular room rate.
There was a problem with the bottom of our bathtub in room 1029, which is apparently a structural problem in all the bathrooms which they address as they become problematic. Water gets in between the liner and the bottom so that you feel like you are standing on a squishy water bed or a moving ship, plus there were no hand rails. I felt that it was unsafe as I almost fell one day. The hot and cold markings were also reversed in the shower so on the first day I tried to turn off the water by turning it all the way to C and instead was scalded. (You have to turn it to cold to shut it off, but in our room it was to the H marking which was confusing.). I was told that the hotel is being renovated starting in November so hopefully these issues will be fixed.
All the pillows are the same and seemed to be feather that flattened out when you used them, I asked for an alternative and was given a similar kind of pillow but synthetic I think, it was hard to tell because they were not labeled.
