The location was great. It was so close to Charles/MGF T station (<5min walk) and there were lots of restaurants and shops nearby, including a Whole Foods right behind the hotel. It felt safe to walk in that area and it was so close to the historic Beacon Hill sights. This was relatively cheaper than the other hotels in the area by a few hundred dollars and it was a decent stay. I know a lot of people have commented on the noise of the construction across the street, but I requested a hotel room on the other side and the hotel staff accommodated me, so I didn't hear anything. My room wasn't super dirty like others mentioned, although it is a bit old. There is dirt in the grout and if you look closely at the grooves in the sink, you can see some gunk. The chair was also a bit worn..that being said...it wasn't anything outrageously obvious. There was cleaning every day and the sheets were fresh (I did check since some reviews stated they were dirty). I didn't see any issues. Don't get scared off by the reviews; this hotel was a great deal for the money they are charging in that good of an area. Definitely try to request a room on the non-construction side.

As stated above, the room was a bit dated. You can see some dust in the corners and there was black gunk inside the sink grooves. The grout in the shower was had some dirt marks too. However, it wasn't anything crazy like the Google reviews. Maybe my expectations were low, but it really wasn't glaringly dirty. You had to really look to find the dirt For the price you are paying to be in that area, it's a good deal
