We loved the pool and location of this hotel.

We were not aware that the hotel is under construction. Our room had a wicked damp smell and the air freshener they used in the hotel was very over whelming, wow!!!

Clean and convenient. First time I have stayed in a hotel with my French Bulldog. The room was fine and convenient to the side exit, so it was easy to take him outside.

I left a shopping bag in my room. I called and they said Theresa returned it to front desk. we drove back to get it, but 2 Nike shirts were missing, 3 sanitizer, 1 lotion, 2 perfume, and a light up Michigan scarf. So only staff had access to the bag.

Hotel has a strong bad/mouldy smell as soon as you walk in either the front door or the back door. I didn't realize they don't make up the room or bring in fresh towels unless you specifically ask them to do so when you stay more than 1 night. It's a cost saving measure- so I understand that- but would like to have been told on check-in as we just thought housekeeping had forgotten our room.

How dirty things felt, room smelled, heat didnt work right, tub was leaking, the window didnt lock the right way anyone could have broke in. Hot tub jets werent working. The ice machine on our floor wasnt working. We had to ask for more towels. No towels in the pool area.

Location was great. Night staff -Ryan-was very helpful and accommodating.

Food was ok. Room where good was in was too small and congested for the number of guests trying to eat. Hot tub was not clean and jets were not working. No pool towels. Hotel ran out of hot water and coffee in lobby. We were not informed we had to pre register for hotel maid service.

When we first arrived the welcome we received was outstanding. This was our first time staying at a Hampton Inn and Ken who was on the front door could not have been more welcoming. This was greatly appreciated after a long trip. All of our requests were taken care of and we had nothing to worry about.
Negatives:
If I had to pick one thing that I didn't like it would be that there were no clocks in the bedrooms. It would be helpful to have a clock in the bedroom area.
