La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Detroit Canton

Negatives: The place was dirty and ran down. I reserved a king room and got a double. Beds were too small to sleep together, I went downstairs and told them I requested a king, instead of looking on the computer to confirm they were rude and me show them the reservation on my phone. Them got rude and said if I didn't like it I could leave. Like it's easy to find a room last minute after driving over 6.5 hours. The breakfast food was old and stale others than the waffles.

Negatives: Major renovations needed across the hotel - seems to be a family trying to manage everything but they need to bring in people to paint, deep clean and modernize the rooms. Every room appears to have something broken or outdated (our television volume could not be adjusted, guests were complaining throughout my stay). No security at all as people came in and out of front entrance- anyone could have wandered in there and appeared to. Our floor was party central and did not feel safe at all.

Negatives: My first room had dead and live roaches ! Mildew around the sink and tub! The second room had dead roaches ! They said no smoking but the hallway repped of drugs.

Negatives: -smelly lobby and breakfast area with several homeless people hanging out. -room tile floor sticky and not moped -tub drain clogged

Negatives: No Stars I was greatly disappointed, from the checking in process to the room infestation of cockroaches. I was greeted upon check in by an impatient host. I was over talked and the clerk clearly did not know how to find my reservation. The room was a birthday gift to my daughter. Shortly after dropping her off, I recieved a call that she was upset that the room she was infested with roaches. The staff was not trying to accommodate her, only offered 20% off. She ended up leaving for fear of bringing roaches back home. I would like a full refund with the three breakfasr I putchased. I did not stay longer than 2hrs

Negatives: Dirty entryway and elevator. Smells of food. Not a good first impression. Staff not overly friendly but ok. Our room was clean but I also always go over doorknobs, surfaces we touch, remote, etc with disinfecting wipes. Black light shows up uncleaned areas so I take one to hotels now. Toilet seat was fairly clean actually! Bed was clean and comfortable. Slept well on it. Walls had ripped and cracked areas down near floor. Strange situation with the tile floor- it had an oily substance all over it, VERY slippery!!! Not a good cleaner to use, folks! Dangerous!! (I told the front desk clerk when we checked out, she apologized) Plus, 2 small tiles loose that caused me to trip but thankfully didn’t fall. Breakfast wasn’t much, tried a hard boiled egg, didn’t look fresh. Greenish yoke inside. Waffle was fine.

Negatives: dirty and not well maintained. Housekeeping only on request and you have to request several times. Had bees coming in through gap between walk and a/c unit

Negatives: Houskeeping and dirt and garbage overflowing in trash cans in halls

Negatives: Executive king that we initially reserved was not available
