At midnight it took a bit of time to find the entrance to the hotel. It could be better lit at night. Also there were no coffee makers in the room.

Positives:
The rooms are clean & in great condition. NO peeling wall paper, NO pitted bathtub or NO stained carpet. This is a great hotel. This is my first stay with AmericInn. I will definitely book at other locations.
Negatives:
The carpet was ragged going up to the 2nd floor. Guessing it's because there is no elevator & hauling big items up.

Breakfast was great! The location was perfect, not far from Charlevoix and Petoskey.
Negatives:
Our big mirror was covered in very large greasy hand prints, not one or two, several. There were so many I cleaned the mirror. Refrigerator didn't work, kept getting warm. Our food went bad. Lights by and in bathroom were so dim. It was pretty dark. Furniture was old and worn. Room felt and looked very dirty. Made me question if it was a safe place to stay, was this a bad side of Charlevoix? We would have tried to find another place to stay, but we just drove several hours, we were tired and it was getting late. Staff was very friendly.
