Located off Interstate 96, this hotel offers a free shuttle to Gerald R. Ford International Airport, 2.5 miles away. It features an indoor pool, free daily breakfast and rooms with free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, our shuttle service has temporarily been suspended. We are hoping to get this back as soon as possible. A microwave and fridge are standard in all spacious rooms at Country Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Airport. The traditionally decorated rooms also feature a cable TV and a work desk. Fitness and business facilities are located on-site for guest convenience. Free weekday newspapers are also available. Downtown Grand Rapids and Frederik Meijer Gardens are each a 15-minute drive from this hotel. Calvin College is just 3.5 miles away.

The rooms were nice. The staff was friendly always smiling. When I went to check in there was a couple arguing about the price of their room and the staff still checked me in on the other terminal while the other couple was trying to it figure out. Continental breakfast was great

It was very dusty and dirty a lot of cobwebs and we had dust on our ceiling fan. I killed a spider in our room

Front desk reception, had requested early check in due to afternoon wedding. Clerk stated message was not received, told to wait until 3 pm. Shitty attitude, could have said we will get room ready asap and all would have been ok.

The hotel is in a good location, near the airport, restaurants and shopping.
Negatives:
The hotel seems poorly maintained compared to similarly priced options. My room had a bad, musty, wet-dog smell that never left. The carpets in the hall/common areas seemed quite dirty. The elevator was dirty and made loud clunky noises that seemed unsafe. I intended to use the laundry machines and the fitness center, but both were out of order during my stay. The breakfast was limited and very repetitive, not changing over 4 days. I also had to request a room change because my original room was very noise due to its proximity to the entry/outdoor seating and a loud dog across the hall.
