Negatives: The front desk assigned us our room upon check-in and then later that night while we were sleeping, someone knocked on our door and attempted to get in because the front desk also assigned them the same room. We got a late night phone call from the front desk questioning our room number. He said he had us in a different room, and according to his computer, we hadn’t checked in yet! It turns out they put us in the “wrong room”. Not very apologetic for their mistake and for waking us up. The front desk worker wasn’t very nice about it, and we were woken up after we went to sleep to have to help them figure out what happened.

Negatives: The Staff. I checked in on Friday 9pm and as per the policy, check out is at 11am. On Monday 8 am, I called the front desk and asked them whether I can check out at 12 o’clock. The lady told me yes and hung up. Upon check out, I was charged $25 for late departure. When I called the front desk, she didn’t tell me that there was a fee when checked out late. I understand different hotels have different policy regarding late check out, some don’t charge anything, some might want to pay $20 or more but either way, the hotel would make sure the guest understands their policy either upon check in or when the guest calls to inform them of a late departure. In my case, I was NOT informed of the late departure fees ($25). The front desk lady was unprofessional and unfriendly. So I asked to speak with a manager. Surprisingly, the managers took side and said they believed in the front desk lady words. How do you take side instead of solving the problem? If I knew I would pay $25 an hour for late departure, I would rather check out at 11 am and stay in the lobby until my friends come get me. I was then forced to leave the premises and threatened to add my name on nationwide hotel blacklist. It’s so unprofessional from a manager to act like this.
