Negatives:
We didn't get to stay there, they couldn't find our reservation it wasn't there, & had nothing available! So we ended up at a different hotel & separated from family at the first hotel. second hotel we ended up at (cause everything's was booked where we had reservation we thought) it was really bad plugged drains & toilet, very dirty, too being very loud & very rude young management. Horrible experience never again we will go through 3rd party where they loose your reservation. Baymont Inn in Howell Mi was the worse hotel we have ever experienced & highly recommend no humans or animals stay there! The manager was young & just laughed at our situation then said she couldn't give a refund cause it was in the 3 rd party but will note it that we should, all while being a smart ass & laughing. Horrible experience she shouldn't be in customer service being a teenager & a manager at that her name is Madalyn Ehlert at Baymont Inn in Howell Mi. Was expensive for such a Horrible experience we should get a refund of something this was so wrong on many levels. Corporate office should know about her!

We went to see Cage the Elephant and this hotel was less expensive than the one next to Pine knob, only 30 minutes away and not on a major highway like 75. Still on 59 but lots of strip malls and little stores. Looks like a golf town lots of courses nearby. Really liked the hotel at first it looks like a motel ( it is) but when entering the room it was CLEAN! I really can't think of anything bad about it

Nothing everything was great...I missed breakfast I thought they said til 11 I got there 950 and there was nothing hot but I could smell it like they just put it away.

Positives:
We especially liked the comfortable chair in the king room. It's nice to have a place to sit other than on the bed. We like the motel-style rooms with separate entry. Despite the traffic noise, the location is good for us and we will probably stay again sometime.
Negatives:
The traffic noise from Hwy 23 cannot be avoided and makes sitting outside the room for any length of time an impossibility. We didn't get a chance to try out the pool; actually, it wasn't mentioned when we checked in and I thought there wasn't one, until the web description reminded me. It was a little far to go for ice, especially when it's raining.
