Clarion Inn I-94 near Expo Center

Negatives: There wasnt anything to not like. It was clean quiet and comfy.. 99 out of hundred. I know where ill be staying in Kalamazoo from now on. I was impressed.

Negatives: The front desk lady charged me for the stay, and then tried to make my family and I leave if we didn't pay again because my "card declined." The payment went through on my end and was cleared, not pending, to the hotel. They wouldn't listen to anything I said and insisted I paid again. I refused to pay again and only when a new woman came in to the front desk was my payment located in their system, as i had been explaining. House keeping didn't come a single time, despite us directly asking the front desk to send them up directly for a spill one of the kids had. We got no new towels, wash cloths, our trash was never emptied. Our AC didn't work, the hair dryer didn't work, the tv didn't have half the channels it listed. Overall, not a good experience at all. The facilities wouldn't have been as bad if it wasn't for housekeeping neglecting our room & the incredibly rude staff.

Negatives: Cold showers no hot water.

Negatives: Pool was not up and running

Negatives: Rest of room was sketchy. They lied to me continuously. They would take my booking.com reservation when I got there at one am after a four hour drive and a trade show at seven am. I am hoping that booking.com refunded my money as they promised. The the hotel told me if I paid cash they could discount to about the booking rate. Then when I came back a half hour later they charged me more than what they said plus a $100 refundable cleaning fee. When I left they lied and said I only paid $50. They would not give me a receipt. It was a nightmare. We had tornadoes on my hometown the day before I left. Why I got there so late. Then I read some reviews at different places than what I checked before and I saw bed bugs on there! Now when I get home after a four hour drive I will have to take safety measures for that.

Negatives: Their wasn't anything I didn't like

Negatives: They advertised on the website that there was a pool and sauna but it was under maintenence and there was no sauna

Negatives: The pool is not open. It's been closed for months. But listed on the amenities

Negatives: I knew not to expect the pool to be available… I saw it on the website. But…. I thought a nice little breakfast would be available since I was told the hours were 6-9. When I woke up early and came downstairs to get the paper and continental breakfast, I saw this notice taped to the wall that said unfortunately, no breakfast is available. So…… Very noisy outside of my window for hours as a lady obviously needed help with a jumpstart and snow/ice scraping.

Negatives: Temperature in room, no hot breakfast as advertised, pool closed, told by desk staff that heat would come eventually. It was below freezing outside and it took 2 days to get to 70 degrees.
