Scuff marks all over the walls. Room needed paining. Sofa bed was not made. Only one sheet in closet,1 blanket. Dirty cups in cupboard. Looked like they tried to make King size bed with queen sheets.

still had food in the refrigerator and freezer from the people before us. The stove was dirty refrigerator was dirty dishwasher was full of dishes but they weren't washed because the dishwasher doesn't work properly. Fingerprints all over the electrical box the refrigerator the freezer. The cabinets were dirty. I don't understand why this place is so filthy. The elevator buttons are nasty.

Okay so we booked a room for 3 nights due to attending our daughter's wedding on June 8th. We are from North Carolina and have stayed in Lansing many times. We have never had any issues with security, at any hotel, until this trip. This was our first time staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton. Between 8pm June 7 and 5:30am on June 8th our car, along with 3 others on the property was broken into. The passenger side back glass was busted completely out and several times were stolen from inside the vehicle. Now we realize that these things can happen anywhere and we do not hold the hotel responsible for the actual break in/theft but let me tell you what could have been handled differently. First off there are no security cameras in the parking areas at this hotel. (Was unaware of this. Wrongly assumed this was standard at most hotels, that was my fault for not confirming beforehand) Im sure the thieves were probably aware there weren't any. Secondly the break in/theft occurred sometime between 8pm and 5:30am, the police were called at some point and a report was written up yet no one chose to inform us...when my husband went to our vehicle around 11am we were unaware a B and E or theft either one had occurred because , again, no one on staff tried to find out who the car belonged to nor inform us of what had occurred! We were literally staying one room away (through side entrance door) from where our car was parked. On the first floor. He walked out and was shocked to find busted glass everywhere and our belongings missing. This was extremely unprofessional of this establishment to not at least try and make contact with us to let us know what had occurred. We also found out that a hotel across the street also sustained 4 break ins that same night and the next night (Sat June 8th) , 3 cars were also stolen from that same establishment across the street.

Is that when we checked in the receptionist told us the pool would be closed until Monday she lied it was open she also told us that breakfast was 7 to 10:00 every day weekend or weekday when I checked into my room I had dirty linens they had not changed the bedding at all when I dress this with the receptionist that came in later that night she got me a new bedding I had to put them on for some reason they were too busy or too full to put me in a different room when the room had clearly not been cleaned so I cleaned it when I dressed it with the manager the next day I mentioned to her how when I got the linens the night before from the laundry room with the receptionist that the staff were all laying on the clean linens in the laundry room on the ground watching a movie weren't doing nothing and that'd be why your linens are dirty when I mentioned it to the manager she said that I would get Hilton points back I have yet to get those points back and I'm getting kind of mad about it because I spent $360 for that room and had dirty sheets that hair and lipstick on them and sweat stains so you tell me is it worth it definitely not
