Negatives: We had a handicap room with a bed so high could not get a handicap person into it. This made no sense to me. My husband cannot jump crawl or roll. How was he to get in. This makes no sense. I'm sure we're not the only ones.

Positives: Loved the Grill restaurant and bar. Service excellent. Varied menu. Food well prepared and delicious. Comparable to a fine dining restaurant in the city. I will stay at the Garden Inn again when I'm traveling.
Negatives: Toilet ran off and on all night. Microwave did not work at all.

Positives: The bed was soft and comfortable and the shampoo smelled great. Breakfast included healthy options such as fruit, although it would've been even better with one choice of healthier cereal. The location was great, of course, because of its proximity to the airport.
Negatives: Stark bluish-white light in the room. The bedside reading lights were warmer, but at least one big lamp with warmer light would've made a difference. I also thought the cleanliness could be improved. For example, while I'm okay with continuing previously opened toilet paper, in this case, there were bluish damp streaks on the paper, probably from contact with a cleaning product.

Positives: There is no false advertising with this place. It's clean, high end, and functions like a well oiled machine. All the staff are lovely! But despite us not being there to use these facilities, my husband and I did note the very nice and spacious meeting rooms on the lobby floor. If you've go the cash or can afford to spend extra to ensure a solid rest before flying in and out of DTW, we highly recommend this hotel. It's a well invested Hilton property. What more do you need to know?
Negatives: It can get overbooked, but they try to make it up to you the best way they can. Tiny Hot Tub was not as comfy as hoped. Breakfast was good, but what makes paying for it worth it is the eggs are done fresh and to order. Other than that, the place is pretty great! All I can really say is this: if you're gonna be located near low flying planes that depart at 2 and 4 am, you might want to make sure guests have ear plugs stocked and at the ready in their rooms.
