Extended Stay America Select Suites - Detroit - Roseville

Negatives: The area is scary. There are actual crackheads and hookers in the parking lot, people hanging around the cars, following me as I walk my dog. It's a 4 person room, they only give you 2 towels, 2 washcloths, and a floor towel (no hand towels), and charge $1.88 per towel to exchange for clean ones. You have to take your own garbage out. And there was black hair EVERYWHERE. On the sheets and pillowcases when we walked in, on the floor, on the counters and sinks, and in the shower. All different lengths. The tub is clogged and the water doesn't go down the drain while showering. There were little black hair rubber bands on the floor when we walked into our room. I swept under both beds (with a broom I bought) looking for my dog's toy, and there were orange press-on nails under each bed, along with a tumbleweed of black hair. The morning staff at the front desk have no kindness to them at all. The pink haired lady at night is much nicer and friendly.

Negatives: I never got to stay at the property. When I arrived the lobby was closed. I called and talked to a representative and they told me my room had been canceled. I had to sleep in my car for the night. There was no communication to let me know my room would be canceled.

Negatives: No more breakfast

Negatives: I wish the room had a coffee maker and a hair dryer. The only actual issue I found was that the shower curtain was too short and I ended up using towels to mop up the water on the floor.

Negatives: The beds were only queen size. The breakfast wasn’t really a breakfast that I’m used to but nice.

Negatives: The rooms were dirty. The carpet in the rooms and hallways were dirty. People standing outside the entrance smoking weed and talking to the staff.
