Very good
Positives:
The staff was great both at check in and at check out. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We didn't have the breakfast because we had other plans. This hotel has several restaurants nearby, as well as Starbucks and Caribou for coffee, and a Wal-Mart and Target if you need any last minute or forgotten items. The Mall of America is about a 10-15 minute drive straight north on Cedar/77, and the airport is a few minutes beyond that.
Negatives:
The hotel shares a parking lot with a restaurant (Cowboy Jack's), so the lot can be quite full if you get in late. Also, the restaurant patrons are quite boisterous, so you may hear a lot of noise throughout the evening and at bar close. It's not the hotel's fault, and this is really the main shopping and dining area for Apple Valley, so it should be expected to have activity throughout the evening. Just a heads up to others that the crowd at Cowboy Jack's is noisy.

When we arrived they did not have a wheelchair accessible room available which I specifically asked for with 2 beds. I was very frustrated because it was a Friday evening and they couldn’t accommodate us plus they didn’t even try to help us find a different AmericInn in the surrounding cities. I started from scratch at 5 PM by calling HamptonInn by Hilton their person helped me find a Hampton Inn DD sa as as as as a z

Communication, we got there and no refrigerator. No ice maker working on floor. It wasn't working. Bathrooms needed a detailed cleaning, dirty.
