Positives:
We love Embassy Suites for (a) the nice breakfast (b) the evening complementary drink (c) separate bedroom so that one of us can stay up while the other goes to bed (d) usually some architecture that is way better than the standard hotel (e.g. soaring lobby, exposed elevators, etc). This ES provided all of that - except the architecture. The b'fast was exceptional as usual, as was the evening complementary drink. The room was fine.
Negatives:
Hotel free WiFi stank so bad that I just used my cellular to access internet - hard to believe that in 2024 hotels are still charging for decent WiFi. This hotel - like most others - has gone to large bottles of soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc (I'm sure it saves them money) so it was SUPER ANNOYING to find in the shower an empty bottle of body soap. If you are going to penny-pinch and go this route you should read your staff the riot act about REFILLING THOSE BOTTLES EVERY FREAKING TIME THEY SERVICE THE ROOM. No printed channel guide in the room - the TV had an online channel guide that was INACCESSIBLE because the remote that came with the TV was not available - hotel provided some oddball TV 'clean' remote that probably is provided only because it lasts longer (read: cheaper for the hotel) but lacked the buttons to access the online TV channel guide provided by the TV. The hotel is in a run-down section of town surrounded by boarded-up anchor stores (think JCPenney and Sears) and the occasional restaurant in the same strip shopping centers - we walked to one that was open but had ZERO customers so we went back to the hotel restaurant for our dinner.

Great location, we have stayed here before and it was wonderful in the past...this time with NO WATER THE ENTIRE STAY we were incredibly mad and frustrated. The hotel staff checked us in and NEVER SAID A WORD about the lack of water in the hotel. UNREAL
Negatives:
We literally had NO WATER the entire stay.They were aware of this and still allowed us to check in and never say a word. When asked about the situation, they continually stated that the water would be back on soon. It never happened. WORST SERVICE EVER!
