Positives:
Hotel employee at the front desk was delightful. She was very welcoming and made me feel like she was happy I was there.
Positives:
The boutique style
Negatives:
The floor is not level. The room is at a slant, which could be unsafe for those with balance issues.

Positives:
Staff was friendly and very helpful with providing recommendations for tourist activities.
Negatives:
The water in shower was not hot enough. I mentioned to the staff and they said it was because it was cold outside. There were a few spider webs on the ceiling of the bathroom.

Exceptional
Positives:
On top of its vintage charm, I found the services were generous and the staff were all very nice. I arrived early due to my air travel schedule, expecting to spend time somewhere else until I could check in. When I got there, my room was ready and they let me in my room with no problem. The staff asked me if I would like a cup of coffee, so I asked for tea and water, which she got me with no charge! Its famous restaurant was playing one of the jazz classics which was perfect with the hotel atmosphere. The room was so quiet and peaceful. Its neighborhood felt safe to walk around and there are many nice restaurants within walking distance. Its only 10 minutes away by car from UMN where I went to see my son. I am glad I chose this hotel rather than those by UMN. If you appreciate a vintage style and want a quiet special time, I would recommend this place. The price was reasonable even during the high season.
Negatives:
My only complaint was that the air conditioner didnt warm up my room well. I had to put on a bathrobe over my pj to sleep.

Positives:
The rooms were nice and clean. Beds were also comfortable.
Negatives:
I didn't like how the cleaning lady walked in when we had a don't disturb on the door. She also didn't knock.

The location is really great. View of the Mississippi and trees. Park adjacent. Beautiful historic bar. Quiet rooms available. Coffee available in the morning. Windows opened.
Negatives:
A small European style breakfast selection would have been nice. The hallways could benefit from some ventilation.

Positives:
Location was excellent! I could walk every place I needed to go. The Inn has a beautiful setting. It is very comfortable and the King room was perfect size! Not small like most King rooms. So glad I chose that Property.
Negatives:
Bar could have been open later and breakfast would have been excellent.

Will Stay at Nicolette Island Inn on my next visit if available.
Positives:
Wonderful bar and restaurant located on the property- staff was wonderful and Pat the bartender at Nic's Bar was fantastic.
Negatives:
Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room
Review
Wonderful location in the middle of downtown Minneapolis with great staff
Positives:
Wonderful location. Historic venue. Very walkable to area restaurants. Safe neighborhood. Quiet.
Negatives:
The city view in our first room was overlooking large and loud ventilation systems. Plus the windows were so dirty one could barely see out of them and the furnishings were tired. After discussions they moved us to a room with a great view of the river that had clean windows. The furnishings were in much better condition.
Review
Wonderful historic venue.
