On the corner of 9th and Hennepin in the heart of Minneapolis’s historic theater district, The Chambers Hotel takes center stage. Built in 1908, The Chambers has had a front-row seat to the legendary Orpheum Theater’s groundbreaking performances, from the Marx Brothers’ vaudeville act to Prince’s hometown debut. Here at The Chambers, we, too, have a famous flair for the dramatic. Our 60 art-infused guestrooms and suites have walk-in rain showers (some of the suites also come with deep soaking tubs) and sweeping views of vibrant downtown. A lush courtyard with a fire pit are prime spots to admire the scenery on Hennepin Avenue. And 12,500 square feet of event space — including a pristine, blank-canvas gallery — await your creative touches. The skyway just steps from our door leads to the Target Center, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, the Mississippi River and the colorful culture of the Twin Cities.

Positives:
The best things were the cleanliness of the room, and the rain shower which was amazing.
Negatives:
The breakfast was a bit of a joke - pre-packaged boxed cereals and cellophane wrapped factory muffins. Nothing fresh, a toaster was there but did not see any bread to toast. Would have been better to have nothing than this - definitely not what I expected from a boutique hotel.
My room was also not visited by hospitality after first night - bed was not done, clearly no service staff had entered.
Also, there's not much going on in this area apart from nightclubs and theatre. No restaurants or coffee chops within walking distance that are open in the morning. It was a bit of a ghost town on a Saturday morning. I would not stay in this area again, nor at this hotel.

Underwhelming
Positives:
I had a nice and comfortable suite (Genius upgrade) for two nights. The suite was quite spacious and modern. The hotel is located centrally downtown in Minneapolis. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly. The price was good.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, my credit card has been incorrectly charged which was unnecessary. Additionally the breakfast was quite basic in terms of quality and variety. A bar or restaurant in the hotel would be nice in order to socialize with other guests.

Positives:
I found The Chambers to be a perfect location for a first time visitor to Minneapolis. Only 10ish-minute walk to Loring Park/Walker Art Institute OR the trail along the Mississippi. You are also close to Target Field/Target Center and a variety of theatres like The Dakota and First Avenue. It was a short walk to the LRT station (transit), which you can grab to/from the airport (only $2!).
The hotel itself was very comfortable and never busy or overwhelming. The rooms very comfortable, particularly the heated bathroom floors and the big shower. Beyond that, you get a simple complimentary breakfast between 7-9am. The hotel also offers free bike rentals, which is a great way to see the city as the Grand Rounds trail and overall biking infrastructure in Minneapolis is excellent.
Lastly, the staff was helpful and kind. Overall, just a perfect place to land.

The Chambers Hotel is located close to the Target Center/Field, First Avenue, restaurants, and across the street from the Orpheum Theater. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was above average, and the walk-in shower (with an overhead shower head) even more so. Highly recommended.
